CBAM module

CBAM reporting module

In use

Your EU buyer files the declaration with your installation data. The CBAM module collects that data starting from invoices, calculates embedded emissions per product and produces the file your verifier will read.

Why now

Your buyer needs data, and the cost rises without it

Your data, your buyer's declaration

If your buyer declares actual emissions, the installation data comes from you and must carry a positive report from an accredited verifier. Without it the buyer uses default values.

2023/956 Art. 7(2), Art. 8(1)

Default values cost more each year

The mark-up added to default values is 10% in 2026, 20% in 2027 and 30% from 2028. For fertilisers it is 1%.

2025/2621, 2026/1740

2026 is not a free year

The free allocation adjustment per tonne equals the CBAM factor × the benchmark, and the factor is 0.975 in 2026. All emissions above the benchmark need certificates.

2025/2620; Directive 2003/87/EC Art. 10a(1a)

How it works

Five steps from invoice to verification file

  1. 01

    Find what is in scope

Upload an invoice, a customs declaration or your product list. Lines with a code are decided from the rule table. For lines without one, AI suggests a CN code and you approve it.

    2023/956 Annex I

  2. 02

    Describe your installation

Production processes, fuel and material streams, purchased precursors and your EU buyers are recorded in the official model.

    2025/2547 Art. 4, Annex I

  3. 03

    Enter the year's data

Gas and electricity invoices, raw material purchases, stock counts, production tonnes. Each line is linked to an evidence file. In spreadsheet imports AI maps the columns and you approve.

    2025/2547 Art. 7

  4. 04

    Calculate and check

Direct and indirect emissions, the precursor share and specific embedded emissions (SEE) per product are calculated. Missing data and inconsistencies show up as warnings. A locked period does not change afterwards.

    2025/2547 Annex III

  5. 05

    Get the files

The English emissions summary, the audit trail, the Commission's official communication template, the monitoring plan, the verification pack and the summary link for your buyer all come from the same period.

    2025/2547 Art. 10, Annex IV

What the module does

Each feature carries its status

    Working
  • Installation modelInstallations, processes, source streams, precursors and EU buyers.
    Working
  • Period dataMonthly or yearly entry, an evidence file on each line.
    Working
  • Free simulatorDefault and estimated actual cost side by side from a CN code, tonnes and country.
    Working
  • Process diagramInputs, process and products shown as a diagram on the installation page.
    Working
  • ERP connection (API)Your accounting or production software sends data with a key and reads the results. Re-sending the same month does not duplicate data.

Calculation

  • Calculation engineDirect, indirect and precursor emissions, SEE per product, free allocation adjustment, certificate estimate.
    Working
  • Audit trailSource line, factor and rule version next to each result. Exported as CSV.

Outputs

  • EU communication templateThe Commission's official installation template (v2.1.1) is filled from a calculated period.
    Working
  • Monitoring planA plan in English and Turkish from installation records, as PDF.
    Working
  • Verification packSummary, template, plan, audit trail and evidence in one ZIP, with a SHA-256 hash for every file.

    Working
  • Roles and consultant viewAdmin, data entry, viewer and consultant roles; a consultant sees several companies in one list.
    Working
  • Supplier data requestYour supplier fills in a form without an account and attaches the verification report. The answer is written to the precursor once you approve it.
    Working
  • Verifier reviewThe verifier enters with a read-only role and writes findings on the period page; you answer. A period cannot be marked verified while a material finding is open.
    Working

The first release focuses on producers processing iron, steel and aluminium. The measurement-based method (PFC, N2O), cement, fertilisers, hydrogen, electricity exports and the EU declarant's Registry declaration are out of scope.
